For the past week Bethesda’s twitter account has been teasing a new upcoming game, initially some thought it may be the much talked about Fallout 4, still others thought it may be a new Wolfenstein game, considering ID is part of the ZeniMax media group, then yesterday it was announced that the game being teased is being developed by none other than Shinji Mikami, the developer of both Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4 (essentially the best Resident Evil games of the series) and his development studio Tango Gameworks. The game itself was being developed under the code name Zwei and up until today the only images we had to clue us into the game itself, were barbed wire, the music of Bach, and burning sunflowers.

Well fans, today the veil has been lifted, and after seeing the live action reveal trailer, we may not have wanted to peek behind the curtain, and that my friends may be a very very good thing. In a statement regarding the upcoming title, Mikami had this to say: “We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within, my team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action.”

Judging by the trailer below, it appears that Mikami and Tango studios will definitely deliver on this commitment. Check out the trailer below, and stay tuned to 2nd Opinion as more information is revealed.
